It is heating up here (finally) in NY and as much as I love color, sometimes black just feels right. Having these Rachel Roy leather shorts in my closet from last season, I decided to pull them out and give them a wear. I originally had on a teal top, that did look cheerful, but also had this sheer back vest I have been wanting to pair up. If you see my OOTD video I had it untucked then decided I liked it better in to show off the high waisted shorts a bit and look more tailored. Finished with my Jason Wu heels and Tom Ford sunny sunglasses for a day at work.

I bought silver Jimmy Choo heels recently for a wedding I was in. I love them, so comfortable, really. I since have worn them with a few different outfits. I am so into taking a dressy shoe and wearing them on a more casual day or to work. I decided to pair them with a navy flowy skirt I have had forever, since silver goes brilliantly with navy. The silver top was a after thought, because of the silver sequin detail on the shoulder. Easy..breezy.

Does it ever get easier than wearing simple black and white. No matter what you do or don't have in your closet, there is always the basics, from a white blouse or tee to a pencil skirt or pants. I seriously consider it many days when I am in a rush. I am so into loose over sized tee's like this one paired with body con black skirts or loosely hanging out of a pair of black cigarette pants. Dress it up with layers of necklaces and sky high Zanotti's, done and out the door.

I wore this outfit to a casual family party, and would totally do a repeat. The light wash denim cuffed with ivory lace Christian Louboutin's played so perfect with the sheer sequin top. It was a little cool out so the blush blazer was a last minute touch. Hermes bangles and pink nails are the ultimate chic accessories I am a truly lover of light washed out tones and feminine pieces.

I was shopping (what new..) and I spotted this sweatshirt, which I would probably never buy if it wasn't for the mega watt crystals happening on the sleeves. They got me its as if sparkly things mesmerize me and I have to buy. It hung in my closet for about 2 week before I finally decided on a casual sunday morning to slip it on. I first was thinking about white denim, but then as I dug through my draw of denim I spotted this washed out pair. I cuffed the bottom and decided to add a little more glitter with my point Manolo heels. Outfit complete and one I will certainly wear again.
